Self-Care: It’s Personal

March 31, 20251 min read

Self-care gets thrown around a lot these days—but what does it actually look like?

That’s a whole different story. The truth is, it’s not one-size-fits-all. What feels nourishing for one person might be downright uncomfortable for another.

Take massage, for example. Some folks find it blissfully relaxing, while others find the whole experience awkward or stressful. For me, real self-care often looks like heading out into the trees. Nature helps me reset, ground myself, and breathe a little deeper. But I know others who hear “bushwalk” and think, no thanks—too many bugs and not enough Wi-Fi!

On the flip side, resorts with cocktails and poolside service are a dream come true for some—but for me? That kind of environment can feel more like sensory overload than relaxation.

The point is: your self-care should fit you.

So today I’m asking—what does your version of self-care look like?

What activities help you recharge, reconnect, and feel more like yourself? And more importantly, are you giving yourself the time and space to actually do them?

Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Let’s start giving it the shape it needs in your life, not someone else’s version.

Be you, everyone else is taken.

Love, Tracey
