Are You Willing for It to Be Easy?

It’s a deceptively simple question, but it can bring up all sorts of resistance.

Are you willing for it to be easy?

For many of us—especially those who’ve always felt like they had to prove themselves—it feels safer to keep pushing. There’s often a belief tucked deep inside that if something is simple or flows with ease, it must not be valuable… or that we’re being lazy.

But here’s the truth:
Simple doesn’t mean lazy.
Ease doesn’t mean a lack of depth.
Flow doesn’t mean you’re cheating.

In fact, choosing simplicity often requires more self-awareness, not less. It means recognising your limits, valuing your energy, and saying no to unnecessary stress. It means letting go of systems, relationships, and expectations that are more complicated than they need to be.

There’s a kind of wisdom that comes with simplicity—especially for those of us who are neurodivergent, heart-led, or simply burnt out from years of pushing.

Simplicity might look like:
- Choosing rest instead of hustling through exhaustion
- Saying no to an invitation without over-explaining
- Picking the easier version of a task instead of overcomplicating it
- Letting something be good enough instead of perfect

It’s not lazy. It’s intentional.

So I invite you to sit with that question:
Are you willing for it to be easy?
What might shift if you allowed more ease, more softness, more simplicity into your world?

It doesn’t mean you’re not doing the work. It means you're doing it in a way that honours your energy and supports your wellbeing.

And that, to me, is the opposite of lazy. That’s brave.

Be you, everyone else is taken.
